to bet's house we go

saturday.
went to Astrid's place to grab my long lost jacket i left there, PRESENTS *squeal*,
'buka' puasa, dinner, midnight martabak & an awful awful movie on cinemax (her sound system or something was broken so we couldn't watch any dvd's), youtube-ing anything we could get our hands on before passing out an hour before sahur.

presents! and additional scavenged tidbits! :D

sunday.
Finds:
at Kemchick (the damn thing cost about Rp.660.000,-/25pc WHY)

at 7-11 for
Rp.3000,- onlyhowisthisevenpossible??!
the taste is BEYOND awesome--no enhanced sweetness or other weird tasting shit like they usually do here in Indonesia--and they have non-fruit flavors like these two (the other one is raisin flavored, didn't get that one).bought two of each :3

lastly, when we got home and they took a nap, i busied myself with Shin Angyo Onshi, a Korean manhwa i haven't read in a long time. when she woke up, i asked her where the rest of the numbers were and she also mentioned that her mom was planning to throw out all her old mangas so naturally (and panicked) i asked if i can have some of them to complete my collection and thank god she said yes, so....

...yeah.

got my hands on a grand total of 84 books :3! includes Shin Angyo Onshi, Samurai X, Lovely Complex, Harlem Beat, 20th Century Boys, WIld Baseballers, Law of Ueki, Vagabond, Peacemaker Kurogane, Naruto, Fairy's Landing, and Shaman King.

monday (today)
indulged in my new found mangas, Running Man, and organizing my computer folders.

2 packs of indomie with egg = suicidal.never again.

basic sights on afternoons.
yes, manson's foot is on my dad's leg.

grin.

yurop haul

finally went to meet the ahjummas today at gancy, and with a good start also: we got there nearly at the same time with barely 10-15 minutes interval.
anyway, spent a long time at the sushi place chatting about, with a few profanities here and there--didn't help with the occasionally mentioned of Tendy's newly acquired "David" (truly awesome find Lit, truly)--only to amusingly realize later on that behind Lalataya was a fasting couple with the girl in jilbab, and behind me and Tendy was the ocha refill station, so basically the waitress heard mostly...everything.ah.

Lalataya was basically santa claus with her bags of 'gifts' and tante gina & om hanny stories from her trip that brought us to tears. Went to the supermarket next to 'guide' Tendy on her 'mission'. Yogurt, Chatime, and Cappuccino and mindless chatting until the mall closed.

Can't wait for the next meet up! hopefully we'd bring better stories of ourselves and even more absurd stories from around :D

*ps: last time we met was also on the 26th (of may).hoho

snail devolution

is it possible for the rest of you to take a vacation and stop for a while?
if not, then at least may i be transported to elsewhere where the people are relatively generally not that fast so i can catch up?
please and thank you.

green again

that moment when you find out people close to you took sudden interest in things you've been interested in since way back when but am only able to admire from afar because of limited resources and limited privileges because of the more pressing problems you face at the time.
excuses? yes, maybe 50% of it, but still.

then they take it, digs tons of info on it beyond your info intake ever, develops it into something you wished you could do since long ago, and has unlimited resources to get whatever the fuck they want but actually don't deserve most things.

then you smile with solid dark eyes with the others who worship their success because yes, it did turn out awesome and they're showing no signs of stopping down.

then you silently move back into that dark corner and throw punches at the wall till you black out from the pain your broken, ruined fists inflicts.

du dun du dun du dun du dun BATMAAAAAN

Initially planned to follow Giri & Wibi to Gandaria City, but as they were picking me up we realized that Gancy would be a death wish, with The Dark Knight Rises premiere today, on a Friday.
They opted for Bakmi Villa first.Closed.
We tried to try out Rumah Sushi.Closed.
We ended up going to Citos, which was surprisingly not that crowded and no traffic otw.
After lunch, on the way to look for a spot to get some coffee while Giri worked on his computer, we mindlessly made our way to the theater--just for kicks--to check out tickets for Batman...and there was no line and we easily got good seating tickets!!!! heck, the screening time we were aiming at was practically empty! (All the while we were thinking 'thank god for IMAX in Gandaria City!!')
After that we continued our search for a place to kill time but because I bragged about said easy ticket access to the only non-working person available, Nanda wanted to watch too so we went back up to get another ticket.hahaha (and we even still got to add another seat next to ours as empty as it was).
Hung around at Eaton for snacks, Nanda arrived, then we went to watch.

(unintentional) marketing terselubung: Giri's t-shirt & personal website layout.ahaha

Oh wow.
All I'm saying is that this is going to be my third movie to watch twice this year.
Heck maybe three times if i can make it.
Bruce was intense, Selina was surprisingly awesome, Bane was good, and Blake was beuuuh.
Yes, there were a couple of 'wtf' scenes though, not to mention the classic hollywood shit of there's-one-minute-left-on-the-time-bomb-but-they-still-have-leisure-time-for-dramatic-or-witty-last-words-and-long-smooch-and-a-heroic-speech.
Seriously? They still have to do that? Pfft.
But anyway, the ending was well made as the closing for the trilogy, the twists were good, and I'm glad to say that one of the twists fulfilled my expectation :D!
As I quote (more or less) what Wibi said, "Hey Batman didn't actually get that much screen time..Come to think of it, the cool thing about it was that the movie wasn't about Batman in general, but about Gotham City."
Too bad the inevitable is that TDKR will be compared to it's predecessor, The Dark Knight , and recent comic book success, The Avengers.
For me TDK is still first on my list, but TDKR is awesome in its own way.
As for comparison against The Avengers is impossible because both were good but had different story aims (TDKR being more in-depth, intense, and realistic. The Avengers being a more action-packed fun, but also a well told story version.).
Ah well. All in all, i had a really good time today :}~

Oh, and since I'm not that good at writing reviews, here's one of the good reviews I've read so far instead from screenrant~
