du dun du dun du dun du dun BATMAAAAAN

Initially planned to follow Giri & Wibi to Gandaria City, but as they were picking me up we realized that Gancy would be a death wish, with The Dark Knight Rises premiere today, on a Friday.
They opted for Bakmi Villa first.Closed.
We tried to try out Rumah Sushi.Closed.
We ended up going to Citos, which was surprisingly not that crowded and no traffic otw.
After lunch, on the way to look for a spot to get some coffee while Giri worked on his computer, we mindlessly made our way to the theater--just for kicks--to check out tickets for Batman...and there was no line and we easily got good seating tickets!!!! heck, the screening time we were aiming at was practically empty! (All the while we were thinking 'thank god for IMAX in Gandaria City!!')
After that we continued our search for a place to kill time but because I bragged about said easy ticket access to the only non-working person available, Nanda wanted to watch too so we went back up to get another ticket.hahaha (and we even still got to add another seat next to ours as empty as it was).
Hung around at Eaton for snacks, Nanda arrived, then we went to watch.

(unintentional) marketing terselubung: Giri's t-shirt & personal website layout.ahaha

Oh wow.
All I'm saying is that this is going to be my third movie to watch twice this year.
Heck maybe three times if i can make it.
Bruce was intense, Selina was surprisingly awesome, Bane was good, and Blake was beuuuh.
Yes, there were a couple of 'wtf' scenes though, not to mention the classic hollywood shit of there's-one-minute-left-on-the-time-bomb-but-they-still-have-leisure-time-for-dramatic-or-witty-last-words-and-long-smooch-and-a-heroic-speech.
Seriously? They still have to do that? Pfft.
But anyway, the ending was well made as the closing for the trilogy, the twists were good, and I'm glad to say that one of the twists fulfilled my expectation :D!
As I quote (more or less) what Wibi said, "Hey Batman didn't actually get that much screen time..Come to think of it, the cool thing about it was that the movie wasn't about Batman in general, but about Gotham City."
Too bad the inevitable is that TDKR will be compared to it's predecessor, The Dark Knight , and recent comic book success, The Avengers.
For me TDK is still first on my list, but TDKR is awesome in its own way.
As for comparison against The Avengers is impossible because both were good but had different story aims (TDKR being more in-depth, intense, and realistic. The Avengers being a more action-packed fun, but also a well told story version.).
Ah well. All in all, i had a really good time today :}~

Oh, and since I'm not that good at writing reviews, here's one of the good reviews I've read so far instead from screenrant~
