Captain America - Epic Byul Day

So after being a complete incompetent train wreck, luckily i stayed at campus instead of bolting home like i'd usually do and ended up meeting unexpectedly fun people for a while, then to lunch with Lyra where i got a massive migraine and her allergies going completely haywire.went home with ojek despite the short distance to our kosan.
Got home 4pm, slept, and woke at
6fuckingpm. Was hoping to wake the next morning. Borrowed six Naruto manga's, played with Bumble (not 'Bubble' ternyata) and Scar, sleep.

The next day was actually nicer (depends on how you see it.haha).

youtube-whored. from 8am-ish - 1pm-ish

After School - Let's Step It Up & American Talk: Harry Potter Cast

Then off to PVJ with Kara and Pandya to watch Captain America.

Wasn't really interested at first, but it was actually really good.
Chris Evans actually delivered despite being--quote Kara--"
kurang kotak" and charismatic-patriotic.
and the fight scenes were actually
fight scenes. yes, there was the usual high end visual effects, but they didn't give us the overused slow motion fight scene crap that usually comes with it.
and Pandya said the movie followed the comics accurately except for the questioned appearance of Red Scull and Dugan (i don't read captain america so don't know much).

my only protests were two too long scenes and steve rogers' goddamn un-synchronized giant head-scrawny body. come on man, if you can attach a different head to a different body, i'm sure you can shrink the damn head. seriously disturbing and distracting.
but that's about it.
and thanks to Pandya, we saw The Avengers trailer after the credits. must.watch.

Oh, and look :D! red-white-blue themed! hahaha how very patriotic~
(and a hint of Adolf(see bellow))

Daisho.

shattered my beloved $2 tourist Japanese Daisho mug from Singapore.hunt.found.

Bao.
not bad. but wih blaring repeating telkomsel(?) video advertising right outside the restaurant.(crap, they're using two of some of my favorite elements: ink-brush effect line art & dimsum containers.)
Highschool nostalgic.
Future traveling plan options.

Gramedia.

the good.
so happy to find the forgotten comic style i once loved as a kid still exists :D (middle book)

the bad.
ironically we were talking about 'the right dose' of sex education before this, and kara said she found a really good illustrated book to answer kids' "where do babies come from?"

the beyond.
no no, you're not reading it wrong, it does, indeed, say "Bitter Stamp with a Die".
how beyond? Kara dubbed it "Hentai Halus".
bener2 kotor abis 'ngereview' bareng contents-nya, seriously nasty.

and it's for Remaja (teens).

Carrefour.
'Educating' Kara with good - not so good - beyond korean girl groups.
Planet b-boy.
--END--
*even the places we went to has the same theme:
Bao=red; Gramedia=redwhiteblue; majority of book cover i chose=red-blue; Carrefour=redwhiteblue!! *semi maksa.huaha

now on to plan my next move.shit.

'He' just can't resist to joke about.

books and mangas

1. On the way to my cousin's house, my random wondering thought of the day in the car was Ran's most awesome scene that i loved the most and will never forget while thinking to actually purchase that particular number manga (i don't collect Detective Conan) = my cousin collects Conan (i only know her for liking serial cantik mangas).

2. Borrowed Fear Street Saga #1-2 from said cousin because i was feeling nostalgic (again, never knew she liked the series). In book #2 Jonathan's mom jumped into their well and died = the day before was discussing my grandpa's well out in the back garden with my aunt in Bandung and how she once almost saw my cousin nearly fall into said well. we never talk about that well.

3. My Dad decided on the movie
'Mobsters' on tv (which i decided not to watch despite wanting to because of the many sex scenes in it (more suggestive ones, but still..) =

...and i just remembered that me and my dad saw a classic mob-style car :DD!

oh, and,
4. While accompanying my dad to wait for Harry Potter 6 movie (he hasn't watched yet), i remembered the
Unbreakable Vow scene (from Ron remembering how his dad went berserk when he found out Fred & George nearly made one with Ron, to "what happens when you break it?" "You die.") = dad forgot about it, and when my mom got control of the remote she stopped at the exact scene of the movie. neat.

lebaran ver. 2011

31 August - 2 September
(backtrack 4 September 2011)

It started out with meeting my dad's apparently long-lost high school friend who just happens to live across my dad's carport, who also happens to be the father of those extremely cool twins me and my friends have known since high school! awesome.
Then it was off to Bandung, but a pit-stop to get some snacks, etc nearby

this is at Bona Indah's Indomaret.wow.

seriously, i pity those who live in that area under 'Cikarang Barat'.
can you imagine when they have to explain to new friends who want to visit...?

whoa, they have these now? (rest area 57?)

Bandung!
wait. ack, nooooo---

i dunno, for some reason this irked me:
see, like 80-90% of the reason of the sudden biking interest in my country is because my people are following the damn lets-ride-a-bike hype (pity the real bikers) to support the eco-friendly cause, and what irked me is that 1.they're using said hype as a form of a charity's activity, and 2. if it's to promote eco-friendlyness, then why the hell is the grand prize a motorcycle?

Ok, for some unknown reason, even though i've complained and explained every time that the taste has seriously SERIOUSLY degraded (i had my first martabakgasm with it, so you can imagine how i felt with it's recent taste), my mom still stubbornly insists we get SanFransisco martabak (which even my easily pleased aunt said it has degraded, and she still doesn't believe me. i am so complaining to mr.buyung. dia punya website lho sekarang, mrbuyung.com gitu.HAHAHAHHA) dengan pembelaan "kan lagi ada Tante Astrid (my lovable aunt who we took along)!".

So because it was SF, we had to wait for an hour or something and we decided to get dinner while waiting at--wait for it--
Rose Flower.
in all it's awesomeness. even my mom didn't know it's 'full name'.
but before we left, i found a little gem on the way, next to where my dad was sitting:

ladies? this is so our calling.

And on the way to the restaurant, at the intersection an 'interesting' graffiti caught my eye:

BVRN IN HELL
...yeah man, bad ass.
too bad couldn't get a picture.

Anyway, back to RoseFlower: it's this Chinese restaurant around Jl. Naripan(?) that my mom used to go to in her days. upon entering, i got a glimpse of this:

I was torn between wanting to pet it or do the thing a favor and end its life.
I ended up gushing about said thing in spite of my self.
unexpectedly, Tante Astrid said, "you want to pet? i think i know the owner..."
and so i went and pet and gushed at the thing.
oh, and the thing's name is Fluffy (for some reason i'm quite positive that it's a 'he'. gee i wonder why.). and he's been re-dyed and clothed (yes, those are damn socks on his paws) over and over again. the poor little shit..

oh, and the food was awesome.
especially when i was all 'meh, probably just a regular Chinese restaurant.
and the owner has a picture of him and Ade Rai. shaking hands. and autographed.

padahal 'cuma' kangkung daging telor puyuh, kodok saus kecapmentega, sama udang goreng telor asin (BEST)

We were staying at my parents' friends' house, and the next morning i woke up to THIS

kinci! it was Pak Nana's, the housekeeper-security, kinci's! and he said i could plaaaayy--

she's the most active, so i was really happy to get a pic of her lounging.

the gray one was really calm and sitting around while the others ran around, trying to jump off the cages. and in the middle of all that hectic-ness, the white jambul one suddenly came up and squished herself next to Kimchi.
lucu banget kaya roti sobeeeeekkk~

i've baptized the grey one Kimchi.

Kimchi the Kinci :3.

(because she's the only one who answers to Kimchi. the others answer to...different names.)

We went back to Pakar and i had fun meeting my cousins (she watches Game of Thrones!!),crazy-ass aunties and uncles. Then we had bakmi for dinner, and the next day bubur ayam (both non-lebaran related food.we got sick of it.hahaha) before leaving for Jakarta at 11ish. I forgot how fun (sometimes) lebaran can be :))
