can i just justify it as, "it wasn't my fault i didn't finally grow some balls and do it, it was the other party's fault for sending out reluctant uncomfortable auras my way, and making me uncomfortable for wanting to make the other party uncomfortable by my intended actions that prevented me from taking actions i'm positively sure will succeed in the end and make all sides happy"...?
